Mieke Deweerdt

Mieke Deweerdt (1981) was fascinated by art from a young age. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges, where she took evening classes, and later the H. Family Technical Institute in Bruges to study fine and liberal arts. To perfect her skills, she finally completed her studies in sculpture at the St. Lucas School of Arts in Ghent.

Mieke's work shows the interaction between people and the struggle and effort to maintain balance in order to live together in harmony.
