Vase "AOI" by Susana Bastos & Marcelo Alvarenga

The AOI vases are the result of a collaboration between Brazilian jewelry designer Tatiana Queiroz and Marcelo Alvarenga and Susana Bastos, founders of the ALVA design studio. By skillfully combining their experience in architecture, object design, and jewelry design, they translate soapstone into a universal, timeless, and contemporary design language.

The AOI line combines the rough with the feminine, volume with lightness. It explores the border between object design and sculpture, maintaining an eye for purity of form and the balance of lines.

Soapstone is a naturally porous stone that should not come into contact with water or other liquids. The color of soapstone can vary from a soft beige to bright blue and silvery gray.
