Sculpture "The Visitor Large" by Guido Deleu

The Visitor sculpture embodies openness, friendliness, and timeless design—a figure that's a pleasure to welcome. With its gently curved lines, warm aura, and diverse color palette, it has become an iconic Gardeco art object since its introduction in 2009. It was originally designed by Belgian sculptor Guido Deleu for the opening of a cultural center.

The large-format version of this handmade ceramic sculpture is created in Selma Calheira's studio in Brazil. Each figure is crafted from natural materials such as lime and mineral pigments—a process that may result in slight color variations and lends each piece its own individual character. The sculptures are intended for indoor use and feature felt pads on the underside.

Since each Visitor sculpture is made by hand, dimensions and head position may vary slightly – a sign of true craftsmanship and an expression of its uniqueness.
