Sculpture "Mushroom Set" by Stefan Schöning

Fascinated by the way things in nature are shaped to fulfill a specific function, Stefan Schöning decided to bring the wonder of the outside world inside by creating Mushroom Clock, Cup, and Twin. The set consists of three whimsical designs, each serving a different purpose: Twin has a split cap and can serve as a card holder, Cup holds valuable items such as jewelry, and Clock is the tallest model, harmoniously uniting the three mushrooms.

Stefan Schöning's design style can be described as minimalist. In his own words, elimination is an important part of the design process:
"When you draw a line, it must replace all other superfluous lines. This is absolutely necessary to keep the world free from disorder and excess."
