Sculpture "Constantin Totem" by Tatiana Queiroz

Tatiana Queiroz's Constantin Totems are named after the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncusi, one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century. Brâncusi sculpted the essence of things and therefore often incorporated geometry into his art. Fascinated and inspired by the pioneer of modernism, Tatiana Queiroz crafts her Constantin Totems by carving soapstone into geometric shapes. She emphasizes the clean contours and adds movement by combining the natural soapstone with carbon steel ornaments.

Soapstone is a naturally porous stone that should not come into contact with water or other liquids. The color of soapstone can vary from a soft beige to bright blue and silvery gray.
