"Going" is part of a series of works that the artist has created in various variations since 2008: sculptures in human form, which in turn consist of a multitude of small sculptures, also depicting people.

In the case of "Going," there are 980 male and female figures in three different sizes. The effect is impressive, for Trpak thus presents in a sensually tangible way what can otherwise only be addressed as an abstract conceptual model: He presents the individual as part of a whole, the individual as an element of a society that he himself creates and which simultaneously shapes him. We may progress as individuals, but true "progress" only comes about when humanity does so together.

The sculpture consists of a total of 980 figures, including:

  • 133 male figures (approx. 11 cm high)
  • 135 female figures (approx. 11 cm high)
  • 233 male figures (approx. 10 cm high)
  • 263 female figures (approx. 10 cm high)
  • 109 male figures (approx. 8 cm high)
  • 107 female figures (approx. 8 cm high)

Bronze edition, cast using the lost-wax casting technique, hand-chiseled and patinated. Limited to 8 numbered and signed pieces .
