Bronze sculpture "Mozart with Violin"

The Austrian, born in 1756, is probably the world's most famous composer and is depicted here as a life-size sculpture. Along with the piano, the violin is one of the instruments that the "child prodigy" learned from an early age. Today, five violin compositions by Mozart have survived.

Like many geniuses, Mozart sadly met an early death at the age of just 35. Who knows how he would have further shaken up the classical music world had he been granted a longer life? But even in his short lifetime, he left the world an immortal legacy.
