Bronze sculpture "Modest" by Nele Serpieters

When creating Modest, artist Nele Serpieters had no fixed plan. She let the sculpture grow naturally, assembling organic forms and arranging them in such a way that the whole appears somewhat alien. No matter from which angle you view Modest, he is never what he seems, and inspires us to reflect on form and substance, beauty and decay.

The smooth bronze surface, the flowing organic lines and the grey-blue patina contribute to the mysterious and fascinating appearance of the sculpture.
