Bronze sculpture "Young Shepherdess with Herd" by Otto Schmidt-Hofer

With her faithful sheepdog at her side, this young shepherdess watches over her small flock of adult sheep and young ones. Her hands are folded in prayer, her eyes closed. Even in the Bible, shepherding was a recurring profession, pursued by many important figures, such as Moses. Hence the young shepherdess's religious attitude.

This sculpture is a heavy bronze casting , which dates back to around turn of the century It is mounted on a stone base and was designed by Schmidt-Hofer signed , as well as by the Foundry "Kraas" from Berlin stamped .
