Vicky Courtens

Vicky Courtens (1974) is a self-taught Belgian ceramist who founded a ceramic design laboratory in 2017. She uses computer technology to design prototypes and materialize them through traditional and artisanal production methods.

Courtens' work consists of durable and timeless designs that are handcrafted and unique. She surprises the viewer with funny and eye-catching ceramic pieces that invite you to take a closer look.

Vicky is mainly inspired by nature, as well as man-made objects found in nature, landmarks such as breakwaters, towers, buoys... that alter the otherwise flat surface of the horizon.
