Collection: Paul Wunderlich

Paul Wunderlich began studying at the Hamburg Art Academy in 1947, which he completed in 1951 (after an interruption) under Willem Grimm.

He created an extensive body of drawings and lithographs at an early age, and international museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York took notice of him.

His style is unmistakable and is often associated with neo-surrealism and fantastic realism; echoes of Art Deco and Art Nouveau are unmistakable.
