Collection: Örn Porsteinsson

Örn Porsteinsson is an Icelandic sculptor based in Reykjavík. He is best known for his monumental works, which are exhibited in several public spaces in Iceland.

For Gardeco, Örn has designed a beautiful series of smaller sculptures called Travel Pieces. The artist initially carves his designs from disposable materials, which are later translated into ceramic and bronze sculptures by Gardeco.

Porsteinsson's sculptures have rounded biomorphic forms reminiscent of the spectacular Icelandic landscape. The artist is also inspired by Icelandic mythology, which is why each of his designs bears the name of a Nordic god.
