Collection: Hans Nübold

Hans Nübold studied from 1960 to 1964 at the State Higher School of Applied Arts in Schwäbisch Gmünd under Fritz Nuss and then from 1964 to 1966 at the Art Academy in Milan under Marino Marini.

His oeuvre includes numerous drawings, reliefs, medals, and sculptures, and he has earned a reputation as a great perfectionist, particularly in his animal sculptures. Nübold also proves himself to be such in his outdoor sculptures for public spaces and his other works, most of which are not always figurative.
“Tradition does not bind – it sets you free!” was the title of the catalogue for a major exhibition of Nübold’s work a few years ago.
