Collection: Freddy De Waele

Before his career as a sculptor, Freddy De Waele was a teacher of pastry and chocolate at the Ter Groene Poorte Hotel School in Bruges, Belgium. To optimize his chocolate designs, De Waele studied sculpture and drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges for nine years.

Over the years, Freddy realized that sculpting with chocolate has its limitations. He was looking for a new, more versatile medium and began working with bronze. Freddy De Waele's designs have a sunny playfulness that shows the joys of everyday life.
