Collection: Erwin A. Schinzel

The sculptor Erwin A. Schinzel devoted himself to art for more than three-quarters of a century. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. From 1945 onward, he worked as a freelance artist, initially in Augsburg and, since 1991, in Waldbronn. He also served as a professor at the International Academy in Bologna and the International Academy of Fine Arts in Altenberg.

Over the course of his long life, Schinzel created hundreds of sculptures and demonstrated his skills in almost all genres: his work includes interior sculptures, fountain sculptures and outdoor sculptures, and he also repeatedly distinguished himself as an “animalist.”

Schinzel's award-winning work is represented in numerous public and private art collections and has been shown in solo and group exhibitions worldwide.
